Conceput pentru colaboratorul său, inginerul Jean BERMAN (autorul structurii pentru imobilul din Strada Calomfirescu), imobilul din Strada Ion Filitti este definit de o fațadă Art Deco austeră, simetrică, dominată de bovindoul care ocupă aproximativ o treime din suprafața acesteia. Deși este evident că imobilul a fost gândit să exploateze la maxim terenul pe care îl ocupă, iar criteriile economice au dus la o epurare a fațadei, există elemnte decorative de dimensiuni reduse, de exemplu: coronamentul compus din patru pilaștri angajați, profilaturi discrete pentru brâie și glafuri, ancadramente și altele.
Înafara coronamentului specific lui MONDA, mai sunt de remarcat și ferestrele pe colț care bordează bovindoul, elemente care aparțin mai mult Modernismului dar care apar frecvent și în Art Deco. Atipic pentru opera lui MONDA, parterul este auster iar intrarea nu este semnalată în nici un fel, probabil tot datorită unor rațiuni financiare.
Conceived for his colleague, engineer Jean BERMAN (author of the structure of the building in Strada Calomfirescu), the building in Strada Filitti is defined by an austere, symmetrical Art Deco facade, dominated by the bow-window that occupies approximately one third of its’ surface. Although it is obvious that the building was meant to exploit its’ site to the maximum, and the economical criteria led to a cleansing of the facade, small decorative elements do exist: the crown molding composed of the four attached pilasters, discrete profiles for facade lines and sills, window frames and others.
Besides the crown molding specific to MONDA, one can also remark the corner windows the frame the bow-window, elements that belong more to Modernism, but also frequently appear in Art Deco. Unusual for MONDA’s work, the ground floor is austere and the entrance is not emphasized in any way, probably also due to financial reasons.
